Chelsea player Juan Mata has said that he has no plans to leave the club despite appearing to have fallen out of favor under new manager Jose Mourinho, and speculation over a deadline day move to French club Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Sport24, Mata said that it had been a very, very good two seasons for him at the club and they had been the best of his career, adding that he was looking forward to achieving as many trophies as Chelsea had done in the last two seasons.
Mata has played only 65 minutes in Chelsea's opening three league matches and was an unused substitute in the Super Cup final against Bayern Munich, even after the game went to extra time, the report said.
He has also been the subject of some transfer speculation, the report added.
Mata said that it is normal in every transfer window to have a lot of rumors but he was happy at the club.
After leaving Mata out against Manchester United last month, Mourinho denied that the Spaniard's future could be in doubt, the report further said.
Mourinho said that everything was clear between him and the player and there were no problems, adding that Mata was a very important player for the team and he wanted him to stay at the club, as there was no story.
