Life in Karachi came to a standstill as power outages, congestion in traffic and damage to civic infrastructure followed the season's first rainfall in the Pakistani city.
Mirpurkhas, Badin and Sanghar districts were also paralysed by flooding caused by heavy downpour for the second consecutive day. Almost all roads and streets were submerged, reported the Dawn.
At least six people died of electrocution in Karachi, while another was killed by lightning in a Sanghar village.
The Met office has predicted more rain in lower Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions, on Friday.
