Helen Mirren, who has said before that the new Doctor Who should be a female, has revealed that she didn't want to play The Doctor in the new series.
Mirren told Digital Spy that she would rather be a Bond villain than be the next Doctor Who, the Metro.co.uk reported.
The 68-year-old actress added that she would want to play the character of Catherine the Great of Russia.
Mirren had earlier told Daybreak host Aled Jones that she thought it was well over-time to have a female Doctor Who and that a gay, black female Doctor Who would be the best of all.
