Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera has said that Manchester United must answer questions over his bungled 30.5 million-pound transfer to Old Trafford.
According to the Mirror, Herrera's proposed switch from Athletic Bilbao to the Premier League champions collapsed in mysterious circumstances just before the transfer window closed on Monday night.
Claiming that he does not know the three lawyers who turned up to negotiate his transfer before leaving without triggering his buy-out clause, Herrera said that United had never told him that they were going to pay the clause, adding that there are questions that the Old Trafford side must answer.
Herrera further said that at no time, did either himself or his representative reach an agreement with United.
However, the report said that United has assured Herrera that they will be back for him in January when the winter transfer window opens.
