Indian hockey goalkeeper P R Sreejesh's has been reprimanded with 12-month probation for breaching Hockey India's Code of Conduct.
A statement released by the Hockey India's Disciplinary Committee revealed that action has been initiated against Sreejesh for taking part in the Celebrity Charity Football Match last year in October without seeking permission from the governing body for hockey.
He was also handed a 15-day suspension by the body which will end tomorrow.
Sreejesh, however, was not part of the national team during that period and was undergoing rehabilitation for a serious knee injury sustained during the Sultan Azlan Shah Tournament in May, 2017.
