Six people were killed and 20 others injured after a bus fell into a canal near Haripal village in Hooghly district on Tuesday.
To take stock of the situation, police and Trinamool Congress MLA Becharam Manna reached the spot.
The MLA said that the injured have been rushed to the nearest medical facility. "We are trying to ascertain if there are any more dead bodies," he added.
