Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal, who regained the number one spot in international rankings, on Thursday said that it was a big achievement for her and added that she hoped to remain in the top spot for some time.
"No.1 rank is something which is still unbelievable. It is a big achievement. I hope to stay there for some more time and staying injury free which is very important right now," said Nehwal.
Nehwal regained the number one position in international rankings after China's Li Xuerui dropped to the third position in a list issued today.
Nehwal is the first Indian woman to have gained the world number one spot in badminton. Earlier this month, she had lifted the singles crown of the India Open Super Series Badminton tournament.
