Australian batsman Phillip Hughes has said that he will be taking the advice of Western Australian coach Justin Langer, who has been plotting his downfall during the domestic Sheffield Shield matches, in order to strengthen his bid for the winter Ashes series.
News.com.au reports that it will be a case of 'enemy one minute, saviour the next' as Hughes plays in the South Australian team, against which Langer's side is fighting hard in order to win the Shield at the WACA on Saturday.
However, Hughes, who was dropped from the team after the second Test of the summer Ashes series, said that he would be stepping into the SA dressing room and have a 'good chat' with Langer, adding that Langer is always 'running things' past him.
The report mentioned that the 105 Test-stalwart Langer, who took four cracks at international level before striking an all-time great union with legendary Australian opener Matthew Hayden, also picked up the pieces after Hughes' Test demotions in 2009 against England and in 2011 against New Zealand.
