After slumping to a defeat at the hands of England, India will look to improve their performance when they take on Rio Olympic bronze-medallist Germany in the third and final Pool B match of the Hockey World League finals here later today.
On Saturday, the inconsistent India slumped to a 2-3 defeat against England, a day after the hosts showcased a spirited performance to settle with 1-1 draw against defending champions Australia.
With one draw and one defeat, India are currently standing at the bottom of the Pool B with just one point. The pool is headed by Germany with four points after having clinched one victory and a draw.
Meanwhile, Australia will square off with England in another Pool B encounter ahead of the India-Germany match.
Yesterday, Belgium thrashed Spain 5-0 in their Pool A clash while the encounter between the Netherlands and Argentina ended in a 3-3 draw.
