A 25-year-old woman was set ablaze in full public view on Thursday in Secunderabad city of Telangana.
Reportedly, the victim was torched by a man allegedly suspected to be her lover.
The empathetic incident took place around evening in Lalaguda area of the city.
According to reports, the accused called the victim at the spot, where he poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.
Soon after committing the heinous act, the accused fled from the spot.
Passersby took quick cognisance and put out the fire.

The woman has suffered 50 percent burns and her condition is said to be critical.
A case under section 307 of IPC & ST/SC Atrocity Act has been registered.
Investigation is underway.
