IAF AN-32 aircraft goes missing enroute Chennai to Port Blair

An Indian Air Force AN-32 transport aircraft went missing on Friday morning, after it took off from Tambaram Air Base in Chennai around 8 a.m. and was on its way to Port Blair.

According to reports, there are 29 people on board the aircraft and the Indian Coast Guard, Navy and the IAF have launched a massive joint search operation to locate the missing plane.

The aircraft was reportedly on a routine weekly flight for Air Force personnel.
