There were high Oscar expectations for 'Straight Outta Compton', the film that portrayed the rise of the legendary rap group N.W.A.
Fans of Ice Cube, who acted as the producer in the biopic, are fired up about the whole issue, reports TMZ.com.
But the 46-year-old rapper was quite circumspect when he was interviewed after the nominations had been announced.
"I'm not pissed. I'm not surprised. It's the Oscars, they do what they do," he said when asked whether he was disappointed.
