India's third largest telco Idea Cellular's net profit is estimated to slip 23.5 percent at Rs. 440 crore in April-June quarter from Rs. 575.6 crore in the quarter-ago period.

According to a poll conducted by CNBC-TV18, the telecom provider's revenue may see marginal gain of 2.9 percent at Rs. 9,760 crore against Rs. 9,483.9 crore in the last quarter.

During the period, EBITDA is seen at Rs. 3,613 crore (37 percent) versus Rs. 3,616 crore (38.1 percent) on sequential basis.

Also, the company's volume growth may be up by 2.7 percent at 207 billion minutes from 201.6 billion minutes QoQ.

The telecom company has been focusing on improving realizations, which have been at the expense of volumes and the trend might continue.

Margins had expanded sharply by 340 basis points last quarter due to steep increase in pricing, which will be partly reversed.
