If Kashmir can be raised at UN, why not the murder of an innocent man, asks Azam Khan

Justifying his decision to take the Dadri lynching case to the United Nations, Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare and Urban Development Minister Azam Khan said on Monday that if India can raise the issue of Kashmir in the UN, why not about the murder of an innocent man.

"We can't stay isolated from the world. They discuss the Kashmir issue at the UN but try to hide the news of the murder of an innocent man. I am not answerable to anyone," Khan told the media here.

Hitting out at the Centre, Khan added that state government was helpless when the government was trying to ignite issue on the name of the 'pink revolution'.

"What can we do when the Prime Minister is openly permitting the RSS to set fire to the nation? Was Babri the doing of the state government? It fell even after the decision was stayed by the Supreme Court and the High Court. Dadri is not about the death of a man but the rise of a new ideology," Khan said.

Training guns on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Khan said that they, including Prime Minister Modi should just go ahead and declare their intention of creating a 'Hindu nation' and then tell what role the Muslims will play.

"What about Justice Katju, several industrialists and journalists who have openly declared that they consume beef, why are they not being punished too? Will only poor Muslims be targeted now?" Khan said.

Khan has been facing flak from various parties for his decision to take the Dadri lynching case to the UN. Mostly from religious leader like Yogi Adiytanath and Sakshi Maharaj.
