Rapper Iggy Azalea defended herself after a dancer suffered a seizure during her concert in Brazil while she continued the performance.

The incident took place on the night of Thursday when she was singing 'Black Widow' and out of three dancers, one dancer fell during the performance, while unaware Azalea continued the song. Immediately after she saw her, the 28-year-old called the emergency medical team on stage.

After the incident, the Australian rapper faced criticism for choosing to continue the show.

Defending herself and giving an update on the dancer's condition she said, "Just want to let everyone asking know my dancer is OKAY!, the light & heat caused her to have a seizure, she is backstage feeling much better."

An hour later, the singer wrote another post saying, "Also, for what it's worth in regards to the backup dancer, 1. I thought she had just fallen/twisted her ankle and it may sound harsh but; you keep singing until the music stops & ask for a medic which is what I did."

Making another point, Azalea added, "2. We are all really shaken up by what happened & just thankful she is okay." Adding that, "3. I know it's easy to make memes of someone "passed out" but someone having a seizure isn't funny, it's really scary! So I hope fans do not repost some of the memes I'm seeing about my dancer."

Some disappointed fans took to Twitter and expressed their discontent. "Damn the show must go on huh? #iggy," a Twitter user wrote.
