Police have recovered illegal arms from a flat in Pandav Nagar in East Delhi.
Dharmendra, president of the local RWA, said, "On the occasion of Independence Day, we organized an RWA programme in our neighbourhood. When we came out of our houses for the programme at 6 a.m., we saw that the area had been surrounded by police vehicles. Officers told us that a miscreant used to live with his family in one of the flats, and according to them, arms were recovered from that house."
Stating that the family moved in only two months ago, Dharmendra said the suspect is on the run, and police are questioning his family.
At least seven pistols and over 100 cartridges have been recovered from the site.
