Criticising the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Government in Delhi for allegedly spending huge amount of money on advertising, Congress leader JP Agarwal on Saturday said the former was not spending money to fulfil the promises made to people of the city before elections
"There is no scope for lying in the democracy. The money which should have been spent for betterment of Delhi is not being spent. They are not spending it to fulfil their promises. They had promised about installing CCTV cameras, women safety, home guards, they had talked about development of Delhi, but nothing of that sort is visible," Agarwal told ANI.
Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had put up a series of hoardings questioning the Delhi Government's expenditure on its advertisement campaign.
The hoarding asks why the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP Government spent Rs 526 crore on the campaign when the money could be utilised to put up five lakh cameras for women's security.
