Veteran Congress MLA from Wangkhei Assembly constituency, Yumkham Erabot Singh on Monday tendered his resignation from the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
Erabot also submitted his resignation from the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and officially joined the BJP.
Erabot, in his speech said that he chose BJP as the general public wants the government to bring a progressive change to the existing corrupt system and highly incapable congress ruled government in the state.
On the matter of submitting resignation from the Manipur Legislative Assembly, it is being told that Erabot wanted to remain clean in politics and that he does not want to continue as MLA as he was elected from the party ticket.
