India-Bangladesh DG-level talks from tomorrow

A six- day bi-annual Director General- level Border co-ordination meeting between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from tomorrow.

A 20-member BSF delegation, headed by BSF DG D. K. Pathak, and the BGB delegation, headed by BGB DG Major General Aziz Ahmed, will discuss various issues concerning trans-border crimes, smuggling of fake Indian currency notes, activities of Indian insurgents groups based in Bangladesh, prevention of illegal migration and trafficking of women and children.

The meeting will also deliberate on the Co-ordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP) and various Confidence Building Measures (CBM).
