India made an impressive comeback from their losses and the rain-washed previous one day internationals against Australia by beating the tourists by six wickets in the sixth ODI in Nagpur on Wednesday.
India made 351 at the loss of four wickets.
Similar to the second ODI in Jaipur, the hosts confidently went in search of their daunting target of 350 at the loss of six wickets set by Australia, which they reached with four balls and six wickets to spare at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, boosted by centurions Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.
According to Sport24, much like in the second match, India built a solid platform upfront, with openers Dhawan, who recorded his third career hundred, and Rohit Sharma putting on 178 runs for the first wicket
Meanwhile for Australia, captain George Bailey and all-rounder Shane Watson each scored a century, after the home side had won the toss and chose to field, with the report adding that Bailey scored his second ODI century and posted his highest career score of 156 from a mere 114 balls, which included 13 fours and 6 sixes.
The series is level at 2-2 with one match to play on November 2, in Bangalore, the report added.
