Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday said that India's aspiration to achieve eight to ten percent growth target is not completely out of sight.
"With the reform process ongoing, with some more significant changes like GST in the pipelines, increased infrastructure spending this year, emphasis on smart cities. when all these initiatives get down to the field, then India's aspiration to cross that 8 percent hub and get on 8-10 percent growth targets, something which is not completely out of sight, something which may be eminently achievable," Jaitley said while giving his speech at Nabard National Seminar.
"Service sectors doing well, manufacturing sectors despite global slowdown, with all these initiatives coupled with a lot more investment may also pick up," he added.
