National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah said India wants friendship with Pakistan, but it also wants to eradicate terrorism.
Stating that the arrests made by Pakistan is a good step forward, Abdullah said, "India has told Pakistan time and again that Jaish-e-Mohammed, which was created with the motive to spread terrorism in India, has been indulging in terrorist attacks, and it should be dealt with."
The Pathankot attack once again brought to fore Jaish involvement, he pointed out.
When asked about inordinate delay in the formation of a government in J&K after the demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Abdullah said the absence of a government in the state is a matter of concern."
"There should be a government, because Governor won't be able to run the state for long. We hope that the coalition partners sit together to address each-other's concerns and would work for the betterment of the people of the state," he added.
