New Zealand coach Mike Hesson confirmed that fast bowler Adam Milne has been ruled out of the upcoming one day international (ODI) series against England after failing to recover from heel injury.
Milne was ruled out of the World Cup before the semi-final and was replaced by Matt Henry, who also played the final in his absence.
Henry also made his Test debut in the recent ongoing match at Lord's. Hesson said that it had been a hard time for Milne, adding that he had worked very hard to get back to full fitness but unfortunately he was still suffering from pain and was unable to bowl, Sport24 reported.
He insisted that Milne was a young lad and they are focused on making sure he was 100 percent fit before he returns.
Milne would be replaced by Ben Wheeler in the squad for the five-matches against England starting from June 9.
