England all-rounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the ongoing Test series against Pakistan with a calf injury.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury while bowling and limped off the field midway on the fourth day of the second Test at Old Trafford, which England won by 330 runs to level the four-match series 1-1.
Stokes was declared unfit for the ongoing third match at Edgbaston after scans confirmed that he had torn a calf muscle in his right leg. However, he is expected to be fit in time for the limited-overs series that follows, ESPNcricinfo reported.
The fourth Test will be played at The Oval on August 11.
