Argentina star striker Sergio Aguero has revealed that he would be out of action for a month after sustaining a thigh injury during his side's shocking 2-0 home defeat against Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier.
The 27-year-old Manchester City forward suffered a tear in his left thigh half an hour into the team's opening South American qualifier for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Reflecting on his injury, Aguero said that he would surely need a month to recover from the tear, adding that he would go to the Argentinian Football Association to carry on with treatment, the Guardian reported.
Aguero is the latest in the Argentina's growing injury list, which includes star player Lionel Messi, midfielder Lucas Biglia and defender Marcos Rojo. They are also likely to miss next month's home match against Brazil.
