Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar' has been voted as the most overrated film of 2014 by Metacritic users followed by 'Boyhood' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
'Interstellar' was a hit at the theatres Metacritic rating stands at 74 and has been declared the most overrated film by users because people felt that Nolan and Matthew McConaughey were "revered" by default, the Independent reported.
Helmer David Cronenberg criticized sites like Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes for blurring the line between film criticism and public opinion this week, saying that according to him the role of the critic has been very diminished, because one get a lot of people who set themselves up as critics by having a website where it says that they're a critic.
The other overrated movies of 2014 as voted by Metacritic users include 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' Pt. 1 and 'Birdman'.
