A police official's iPhone that Rihanna accidentally broke has been sold for 66,500 dollars on eBay, according to reports.

According to the New York Daily News, the pop singer was seated next to Los Angeles Police Commission president Steve Soboroff at a Clippers game last week.

Noticing that they were both wearing LAPD wristbands, Soboroff asked for her to pose with him in a picture.hile attempting to snap the selfie, Rihanna accidentally dropped the phone, cracking the screen.

But Soboroff got more than a celebrity photo and a broken phone out of the deal. On Thursday, an anonymous bidder paid 66,500 dollars to buy the phone on eBay.

Soboroff wrote on his auction listing that half of the money raised will go toward the LAPD Cadet program crisis and the other half of the money will go towards the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation, to support the families of fallen officers.

The 26-year-old Barbadian singer, apologized and donated 25,000dollars to a police charity after the incident, and also signed the phone, writing, "Sorry! I (heart) LAPD. Rihanna".
