At least 322 members of an Iraq Sunni tribe have been killed in western Anbar province as a result of mass killings by Islamic State (IS) militants, says Iraqi government.
The human rights ministry of the country said that more than 50 bodies had been found dead while 65 members of the Al-Bu Nimr tribe have been kidnapped, reported the BBC.
The ministry also said that the jihadists are holding the 65 hostages as prisoners of war.
The militant group killed at least 50 members of the tribe on Sunday morning.
A top leader of the tribe Sheikh Naeem Al Gaoud said that they have been abandoned by the Iraqi government and given to IS "on a platter".
He also said that they had requested the government for weapons many a times but they were only given promises.
