Islamic State (IS) suicide bombers are believed to be drenching themselves in aftershave before attacks so they smell nice for virgins who are awaiting them in heaven in the afterlife.
According to the Daily Star, the jihadists believe that martyrs to Islam are received by 72 virgins in paradise.
IS militants spray scent on their suicide vests so they can take the fragrance into their afterlives.
The bizarre habit was revealed in a Twitter post wherein a photo showed a militant being drenched in perfume while another man packed his body with explosives.
Intelligence experts said that the practice shows how IS militants have indoctrinated its forces into believing that they are fighting a holy war.
