Italian football club Palermo have told Arsenal that their striker Paulo Dybala would cost them 31 million pounds if they want to sign him in January.
According to reports, Arsenal has been keeping tabs on Argentine striker's form with a view to a potential move. However, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that it would take a mammoth offer for him to consider selling Dybala.
Zamparini said that Arsenal would have to pay 40 million pounds to take him away from Palermo, The Daily Star reported.
Arsenal is likely to face competition from Premier League rivals Southampton for Dybala.
The 20-year-old has struck four goals in just 12 Serie A appearances this season for the newly-promoted outfit but is likely to wait until next summer before considering his options.
Dybala began his career Argentinian side Instituto and broke a host of club records originally set by Argentine legend Mario Kempes.
Palermo moved quickly to secure his services in 2012 prompting Zamparini to say that they have got Dybala, the new Sergio Aguero.
