While renovating an old mosque, the villagers of Lashipora in Rajwar area of Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara district on Sunday found weapons, one AK-47 rifle and three magazines.
The villagers handed over the weapons to the Handwara Police.
Earlier in the day, in a major development two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in an encounter between terrorists and security personnel at Handwara's Waripora.
The encounter began in the Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.
A search operation is currently going on.
