The film has set a record for other films releasing in overseas by receiving a marvelous reception.
The Imtiaz Ali directorial has had the highest grossing opening of 2017, surpassing collections of 'Raees'.
The film has done exceptional business in the overseas markets, as mentioned below, United Kingdom - $500,000, US / Canada - $1,300,000, Gulf - $2,300,000, Australia - $350,000, Pakistan - $650,000 and Far East (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia) - $400,000
The overseas markets sum up around 5.5 million dollars.
The Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer is also the tenth highest overseas opening film of all time and the highest ever non-festive i.e. Eid, Christmas and Diwali holiday release.
