A disciplined performance by Indian seamers on a lively Sabina Park track left West Indies reeling at 88/4 at lunch on first day of second test match between India and West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, on Saturday.
Opting to bat after winning the toss, West indies started miserably by losing two wickets in successive balls in the third over by pacer Ishant Sharma.
Sharma aimed a short-ball at Kraigg Brathwaite's body, which he tried to fend in an awkward manner, spooning a catch to Cheteshwar Pujara at short-leg.
In the very next delivery, Darren Bravo edged the ball to skipper Virat Kohli at second slip. In the sixth over, Mohammed Shami struck and removed Rajindra Chandrika, who could manage just 5.
This brought Marlon Samuels and Jermaine Blackwood together at the crease.
Blackwood took the attack to the Indian bowlers by scoring a run-a-ball 62, before being dismissed by spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
