The iconic James Bond Lotus Esprit submarine, which was auctioned in London, has been sold for a whopping 550,000 pounds.
According to RM Auctions, the submarine car, which featured in the flick 'The Spy Who Loved Me', was expected to sell for between 650,000 pounds and 950,000 pounds, Stuff.co.nz reported.
RM managing director, Max Girardo, said that they have a great track record in selling incredible and iconic movie cars.
Girardo stated that this particular Lotus is among the most famous cars of all time.
The auction house had previously sold the Aston Martin DB5 used by Sean Connery in the James Bond Films, 'Goldfinger' and 'Thunderball', 2.9 million pounds in 2010.
