Oscar winner Jamie Foxx is in talks to join Michael B. Jordan in 'Just Mercy', a courtroom drama directed by Destin Daniel Cretton for Warner Bros.
The feature narrates the story of the case that launched the career of Bryan Stevenson, the founder of Equal Justice Initiative--- the organization that fights for the underprivileged, wrongly condemned and Death-row Prisoners, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
The story will focus on Steven's first case where a black man, Walter McMillian, was wrongly sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit.
Stevenson won the case by successfully proving that the prosecution had suppressed the evidence, leading to McMillian's exoneration.
Jordan will be co-producing the series with Gil Netter and Arthur Spector.
Jamie Foxx, who was last seen in the film 'Baby Driver, is repped by CAA, LBI Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham.
