A soldier was critically injured after a group of militants fired on the army personnel in Lolab area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Sunday.
At least seven militants, who crossed the Line of Control (LoC) a couple of days ago, were cordoned off by the army personnel in Kalaroos area of Kupwara district.
The militants fired on the army personnel with automatic weapons.
However, there are no reports of any fatal casualties as of now.
The gunfight between the two sides is still on.
Earlier, a soldier was killed after a militant group attacked a patrol party along the LoC in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, after a group of militants opened fire on the army's patrolling party of 23 Grenadier (under 268 Infantry Division) at Mundian forest in Keran sector late last night.
