Jeff Daniels has been roped in for Ridley Scott's high-profile sci-fi movie 'The Martian', it has been revealed.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the American actor will join the Fox film alongwith Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig and Kate Mara.
The story revolves around an astronaut played by Damon who is stranded in a Martian colony and struggles to survive and NASA tries to launch a rescue mission back on Earth.
Daniels would play the director of NASA dealing with the crisis.
