Jimmy Kimmel has requested his viewers to support Democratic candidate Beto O'Rourke in the race for the upcoming midterm elections in Texas, United States.
According to a report by Deadline, the talk show host said, "And the President did lend a tiny hand at a rally for Cruz in Houston tonight, which had to be the saddest call Ted Cruz ever had to make."
Making fun of the Republican senator, Kimmel said, "Imagine if your neighbor insulted your wife's face, and then you had to ask him to loan you a weedwacker. That's like Ted Cruz's life right now. It's like the Devil making a deal with the Devil."
Kimmel made it very clear that he will be supporting Democratic candidate Beto O'Rourke instead of Ted Cruz and urged the people of Texas to do the same. "I mean, come on! If nothing else, do it for comedy sake."
As campaigning for the 2018 US midterm elections enters the final stretch, Celebrities are now openly supporting their favorite candidate in the race.
Earlier this month, Taylor Swift, in an Instagram post, clearly stated that she will be "voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives." She also mentioned that she "cannot support Marsha Blackburn.
