The Weeknd nearly avoided a disaster when a piece of stage equipment fell and landed just a foot away from the singer, during his concert in Mexico City on Sunday.
In a video posted by the Canadian singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, on his Instagram story, an unsecured object can be seen falling from the ceiling just a few inches away from him on the stage.
While the incident looked dangerous in the video, Tesfaye did not even flinch when the equipment dropped all of a sudden. He instead continued singing 'Party Monster', a track from his 2016 album 'Starboy'.
Although the cause for the mishap remains unknown, the weather conditions could be a reason for the mishap. According to a report by TMZ, it was very windy and it rained during most of the show.
