John Mayer has praised Lady Gaga for releasing her latest album 'Cheek to Cheek' in collaboration with Tony Bennett.
The 37-year-old musician took to Twitter where he applauded the 28-year-old songstress for releasing an album she believed in instead a generic pop record simply to please the masses, E! Online reported.
Gaga then also returned the gratitude by thanking Mayer on her own social media page.
'Cheek to Cheek' was released on September 19, 2014 and sold 131,000 copies in its first week, which became Gaga's third consecutive No. 1 record in the United States.
