John Terry has made a whooping profit by selling his "dream" mansion in Surrey for 16 million pounds.

The 33-year-old footballer had originally bought the mansion for 1.85 million pounds in 2007, the Daily Star reported.

He then remortgaged a neighbouring property four times to pay for the 4.65 million pounds work doing up the sprawling nine-bedroom property.

Now, the property, which wasn't even on the market, is sold for twice as much as the most expensive house in the area.
