Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has reportedly welcomed England's intention to adopt a hit out policy to counter his chin-music regimen in the Ashes Test this week.
Johnson, with his speeds of more than 150km/h, has been almost unplayable at times through a series of lethal spells that have turned the Ashes heavily in Australia's favour.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, England vice-captain Matt Prior said that the tourists could simply hope to survive against Johnson, who is expected to be even more difficult to face at the WACA Ground, as they try to salvage the series.
Prior said that he would hate to see the team, with the batting talent they have, just going out there trying to survive, and adding that that is not the way they are going to win in Australia.
He further said that they need to find ways to put pressure back on the Aussie bowlers and that's the way they are hoping to play.
The report said that soon after Prior's statement, Johnson said that if that was the way England thought to get the score, then they should 'go ahead'.
