'Orphan Black' star Jordan Gavaris, has joined the cast of 'The Sea of Trees,' which already features Matthew McConaughey and Naomi Watts.
According to the Hollywood reporter, the project, which is based on the original screenplay written by Chris Sparling, has already finished filming in Massachusetts and Japan, and recently released the first image of the film, which shows McConaughey bloodied and crouched in the dark Japanese forest.
The film, which is being helmed by Gus Van Sant, and also stars Ken Watanabe and Katie Aselton, centers on two strangers who meet in the mysterious dense forest at the base of Japan's Mount Fujiwhere, where people often go to commit suicide.
The movie is being produced by Gil Netter along with Kevin Halloran, F. Gary Gray, Brian Dobbins, Allen Fischer and Sparling.
