Julia Roberts and Jack O'Connell are in talks to join cast of Jodie Foster directed 'Money Monster.'
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the financial drama, which is being produced by Tom Rothman's TriStar already stars George Clooney, who would fill in the role of Lee Gates, a bombastic television stock huckster, whose program called Money Monster, and life are taken hostage by an outraged gunman.
If a deal is made, Roberts, who had lat worked with Clooney in 'Oceans' 13,' will take on the role of the woman who produces the show, while O'Connell plays the gunman. he script, which was originally penned by Alan DiFore and Jim Kouf with a final draft by Jamie Linden, is said to unfold in near real-time.
The project is being produced by Daniel Dubiecki and Lara Alameddine via their Allegiance Theater shingle, while Clooney and Grant Heslov produce through their company, Smokehouse.
