Justice Naveen Sinha was on Saturday sworn-in as the new Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
Justice Sinha was administered the oath as the 31st chief justice of the Rajasthan High Court by Governor Kalyan Singh. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, along with several other cabinet ministers, was also present on the occasion.
According to reports, Justice Sinha has been directed to assume charge of his new office on or before 23rd May.
Prior to his transfer to the Rajasthan High Court, he was Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, the post which will now be occupied by former Tripura High Court Chief Justice Deepak Gupta.
The President had last week, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, gave orders to transfer several judges in the nation.
