Kumaraswamy along with Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara and former chief minister Siddaramaiah visited the accident site.
The bus carrying 35 passengers was going from Mandya to Shivalli when it plunged into VC Canal killing 21 people including 11 women and four children.
The fire department personnel rushed to the spot and carried out the rescue operations. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to VIMS hospital here.
Detailing about the accident, Parameshwara said, "I believe the driver was not driving properly, I will find out.
