The death toll in the explosion outside a restaurant near Lab-e-Jar square in Kabul's PD4 has mounted to 18 on Thursday.
The Tolo News quoted security forces as saying that eight policemen along with 10 civilians were killed in the blast.
Ambulances rushed to the spot and security forces have cordoned off the area.
At least three cars were destroyed and some surrounding buildings damaged in the explosion.
Meanwhile, Taliban has refused its involvement in the blast that took place this afternoon.
