Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa has admitted that he must improve in order to secure his Manchester United future, as he was substituted at half time during the Red Devils' disappointing 2-1 loss to West Brom on Saturday.

According to the Mirror, it was his first Premier League start of the season and confirmed the suspicion that Moyes has little faith in the Japan midfielder.

A 17 million pound buy from Borussia Dortmund last year, Kagawa expressed that he thought that he would have been able to find some space to create the chances in the second half and was disappointed to have been substituted, the report said.

He said that he has to improve or he cannot survive at the club, adding that he needs to take this in a positive way and try to do his best.

Kagawa, twice a Bundesliga winner with Dortmund, has made just three starts this term despite United having failed to score in open play since the 4-1 first-day win over Swansea, the report added.
