Noted film producer and wife of wife of Kannada actor Rajkumar, Parvathamma Rajkumar passed away on Wednesday after prolonged illness. She was 78.
Parvathamma is survived by three actor sons and two daughters.
The first movie she produced was 'Trimurthi' with her husband in the lead role which was a great success.
She was born in Nanjangud of Mysore district in Karnataka on 6 December 1939 to Appaji Gowda and Lakshmamma. She was the second child among four sons and four daughters.
Parvathamma married Rajkumar at the age of 13 on June 25, 1953.
She produced various successful films featuring Rajkumar and their sons Shiv Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar under the production house named "Poornima Enterprises".
Parvathamma went on to produce over 80 films in her career.
