Karanatka Cabinet Minister HS Mahadeva Prasad on Monday expressed his condolences over the death of MLA Venkatesh Nayak, who was among the five people killed in a train accident.
"Its a very sad news we heard this morning. He is a well known person in Raichur district and in Karnataka and he always had friendly attitude towards people. He has left behind a big family. His one son is an MP and another son is a district bank president in Raichur district," Prasad told ANI.
At least five persons were killed and another 25 were injured, when the Bangalore-Nanded Express train collided with lorry, which was crossing the railway track in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh, early today.
